To be able to share yet another small business that is someone I know from high school is so exciting. I am so proud to know all of these business owners that are chasing their dreams! This week on the blog we have Dominque Dewalt, owner of 3D Auto Detailing. Dewalt has detailed my car and my husband’s truck many times, and I am amazed every time! It looks like my car just left the dealership parking lot when he is done. Dewalt comes to your house with all of his supplies, so you skip the driving to another place and having to wait around or get someone to pick you up while the work is done. He is top notch, and I am so excited for y’all to learn about his business below!

3D Auto Detailing started in 2018, but Dewalt’s detailing days started long ago. Before he even had his driver’s license and own vehicle, he was detailing his parents cars for them. Dewalt always took pride in keeping his vehicle clean, and his friends were constantly complimenting him about how his truck looked when they would see it. There were three things that Dewalt says lead him to start his business. The idea first came to him when he was cutting it close each month in early 2018. He knew he didn’t want to live this way and decided to use his talent and some good elbow grease to change his situation. Part two of this decision was when he mentioned the idea to his dad and seeing how excited his dad was for him before he had even started the business! Lastly, was his friends, but one in particular… David. David brought up the business to Dewalt every time they talked and was even the first 3D Auto Detailing customer when Dewalt finally opened up for business!

Dewalt says he loves the looks on his customers faces when they see their vehicles completed and smelling good. He says the “man, it looks like when I first bought it!” are his absolute favorite comments! He says he gets just as much excitement as the customers do, if not more, when he finishes a detailing job and looks at the final product of his hard work. Offering a service to people that they can really benefit from and see their money’s worth at the end of it is one of his favorite parts of this. Having a cleaned up vehicle is so nice and is often something that most people can’t fit into their schedules, so that’s why 3D comes to you! I love this about the business, and Dewalt says this is a main part of the benefit of his company. Having someone come to you to do a service is convenient and allows you the opportunity to have something done that you otherwise wouldn’t have had the time for. He knew that when his own vehicle, home, or work place isn’t tidy and in order, it affects his mood (& I agree!!!). His company is perfect for those with a busy life.

Currently 3D Auto Detailing is a weekend business, because Dewalt has another career that is doing really well, but says he has big goals for 3D for sure. Some of those include being able to open up his own brick and mortar shop, as well as being able to accomadate customers more days of the week and meeting them wherever they may be! Whether it’s the gym, home, or work, he would love to be able to make other’s busy days less stressful by completing their detailing work while they tackle another task.

Dewalt loves everything there is about detailing, and it shows in his work. He knows it will take time and lots of hard work to accomplish his goals for his business, but I have no doubt that he will reach them! If you are in need of detailing work, give 3D a shout.
