Roseann of RX and Denise of CC

Hello again! Who can believe that we are already 3 months into 2023? It has flown by so quickly, and time has passed me by, but fear not! I have been working away at interviews with business owners and have some great blogs coming your way. First up is long overdue! I am so excited to share a feature on the joint venture of RX Baked Goods and Coffee Corner at their Pecan Park location!

Though they opened in mid-October of 2022, the idea of this venture began a little over a year ago in February of 2022. I fortunately was blessed to witness this from the beginning stages, as I was the Realtor representing Sisters in their purchase of the location. RX and CC were both ecstatic at the opportunity and were able to work alongside Sisters during the process of renovation to build out what they needed behind the scenes to be successful. When asked how they felt about the opportunity, both had the same reaction: “It’s a great opportunity!” Denise said that she was excited to be able to give more to her community and to have somewhere for people to go hangout and enjoy a cup of coffee and some treats. Roseann was excited as well but admitted she was nervous. Though nervous, she went for it and is happy that she gets to bring HER bakery to the community!

1301 Hospital Blvd. Bldg. B, Floresville

As you can see, both ladies LOVE their community. It came up multiple times throughout our interview, and they both talked so highly of this town, the people here, and how much they love being able to serve their craft to people in such a great space. Denise and Roseann have many similarities when it comes to their hearts and their passions. Their two ventures crossed paths back in 2021 when Roseann went through the CC drive-through at the Bentwood location to offer cookie samples. Not only did Denise love her cookies (who doesn’t?!), but she also made a signature frappe out of them! Denise says her favorite part of working with Roseann in the same building is the opportunity for more collaborations between them and their businesses. Roseann agrees and thinks that their respective businesses complement one another and the space that they are in!

Speaking of space, have you seen it?! If not, you need to do yourself a favor and go check it out in person! Sisters did such a great job furnishing the building, and it truly is the perfect place to hang out. I often go there to grab a quiet corner and work, take my daughter to enjoy some treats, and even recently took some work headshots there! Within the space, both RX and CC hope to be able to be a place for more people to gather and spend time together, host events, and make memories. Roseann says she foresees this place being a staple for Floresville, whether it’s someone passing through, a regular customer, or more. Her hope is to become THAT place in town and wants to be able to utilize that to give back to her community.

While tying up our sit down, I asked both ladies the very broad question of “How do you feel?” I love asking this question, because it can be taken so many ways and is also a great way to show someone that you care about whatever it is that they might be feeling at that moment. Denise said she never imagined doing a joint venture, but the mix of coffee and sweets is a “no brainer” and the opportunities for them will be endless! Roseann started simply with “It’s a dream come true.” She then went on to mention that it isn’t just about the 2 business, but it’s about the families, the community, and the people that work here. Floresville isn’t a big city, but Floresville is going to show people what small towns are capable of. “The dreams are HOMEGROWN.” (Which selfishly might just be my favorite line any business owner has ever given me!)

I always take my daughter on coffee and ice cream dates here! We have the best time hanging out, reading books, and enjoying the treats.

RX and CC each have individual blogs that you can read about to learn about their individual stories and how they started out. Though both are outstanding on their own, the joint venture happening at Building B on Hospital Boulevard is something of an inspiration. Delectable coffee and drinks, paired with perfect cookies and sweets is not only a great place to treat yourself and spend time, but it is showing other businesses what is possible when two strong, courageous businesswomen tackle their dreams and work alongside one another. It doesn’t have to be a competition, and Roseann and Denise have proven that.

So, there you have it! Coffee, cookies, and inspiration… what more could we need?! Thank y’all for tuning in, now go show their social medias some love while you hang out at their spot. You can check out RX on her Instagram and Facebook, and CC on her Instagram and Facebook.
