In the heart of Floresville, a paw-some journey continues - Lil’ Biscuits & Treats just celebrated two years of tail-wagging joy, crafting everyday dog treats, cakes, "pup"cakes, barkcuterie boxes, and more. From the kitchen of Katya Arredondo to the community, every treat is made with love for our furry friends.
The delightful journey of Lil’ Biscuits & Treats began on March 1st, a serendipitous choice that aligned with National Peanut Butter Lovers Day! Inspired by a passion for baking, two beloved dogs (Biscuit and Mookie), a supportive family, and the entrepreneurial spirit of friends, this small business sprang to life.
The spark ignited when the realization struck – a community longing for organic dog treats, and a baker ready to fill that gap. The first batches, taste-tested by Biscuit, Mookie, and neighborhood pets, were an instant hit. Fueled by positive responses, Lil’ Biscuits & Treats became a reality. The name was an easy choice, with Biscuit becoming the face of the business, and menu items named after beloved dogs in the family.

As a small/local business owner, the journey has been sprinkled with joy and heartwarming connections. Getting to know customers, hearing creative pet names, and receiving pictures and videos of happy pups enjoying their treats are cherished moments. Most menu items are dehydrated for over 4 hours to enhance shelf life without any preservatives. And yes, shipping options are available for out-of-town pups!
Starting a business posed challenges, especially for someone stepping out of their comfort zone. Adapting to social media, creating a menu, and setting prices were initial hurdles. However, the most rewarding moment came in collaboration with other local businesses. These partnerships exceeded expectations, highlighting the supportive community spirit that Floresville has to offer!
